Arsenal planning €50m summer swoop for top Man United target Arsene Wenger's side reportedly considering summer bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba

Arsenal are reportedly considering a whopping €50m summer bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, with Forza Italian Football sharing that the Daily Mail believe Arsene Wenger could use a summer cash injection to land the French international.

Pogba has been a perennial favourite of the transfer rumour mill throughout the last 12 months, with Manchester United consistently mentioned in connection with bringing their former academy standout back to Old Trafford.

United boss David Moyes faces fresh competition for Pogba's services though, with the Gunners chasing one of Europe's brightest young talents armed with a £150m boost brought by a lucrative kit deal with Puma, the biggest deal of its kind in the club's history.

The Gunners are reportedly ready to make their interest in Pogba concrete with a formal summer offer, if his contract talks with Juve continue to stall.

Juve have been in advanced negotiations with the 20-year-old to reward his fine form with bumper new terms, but no agreement has been reached at this stage.

Serie A's defending champions are still confident of securing that deal and still have plenty of room for manoeuvre, with Poga's current contract in Turin not expiring until 2016.
